Novelty 2025: Printed version of the National Express Rail GmbH class 442 electric railcar in Era VI. The model is factory-equipped with a PSD XP sound decoder with the largest possible loudspeaker. The model bears the ‘fits mfx®’ quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centres, a new ‘fits mfx®’ quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the ‘fits mfx®’ quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the ‘fits mfx®’ logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
