Novelty 2025: The Re 4/4 I 401 to 426 were delivered in the fir green colour that was prescribed at the time. Between 1955 and 1959, two locomotives were given a lime green and a blue locomotive body on a trial basis. Travellers at the time were quite astonished, as the railway in Switzerland was mainly dominated by green and brown. The 409 was given a sapphire blue livery. The 416 was painted lime green from 1955 to 1959, like the three Ae 8/14s.
