Novelty 2025: After 1945, around 230 T 9.3 locomotives remained on the territory of the Soviet occupation zone and were transferred to the Deutsche Reichsbahn until 1949. The locomotives were initially used for passenger and goods train services on branch lines, but from the mid-1960s onwards, decommissioning and the incipient change in traction meant that active service was increasingly coming to an end. The last representatives of this class were taken out of service by the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 1971.
