Novelty 2026: With the BR 184.0 of the DB in Era IV, PIKO brings the locomotives, known as the “Europa-Loks,” onto H0 tracks. Equipped for various power systems in Germany, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, these machines significantly facilitated cross-border traffic. The PIKO design pays a fitting tribute to the locomotive. A glance at the detailed roof area immediately reveals the finely articulated metal pantographs, mounted on the roof without visible screws. The side panels are accentuated by delicate grilles and engravings. Through the cab door, the detailed replica of the engine room can be seen, ideally highlighted by appropriate lighting. The cab lighting is also digitally switchable. Looking under the locomotive body, the bogies present numerous separately applied components. The overall impression is completed by precise paintwork and sharp printing. The PIKO Expert model comes factory-equipped with a PIKO PSD XP sound decoder and features numerous authentic locomotive sounds.
