GER: E-Lok EP09 PKP IC VI + DSS PluX22

Novelty 2026: For high-speed passenger services between Warsaw and Kraków, PKP required a new locomotive class in the late 1980s, capable of handling sustained operations at 160 km/h. The EP05 locomotives, rebuilt from EU05 units since 1973, were limited in number and had become outdated. Therefore, Pafawag in Wroc?aw developed a new locomotive type, 104E. The machines fully met expectations, and PKP acquired 45 additional units by 1997. The EP09 was deployed nationwide, almost completely replacing the EP05.
